Florida's seasons shape our Thursdays.
We lean into Florida's climate rather than fighting it. Two very different Thursdays across the year — both exceptional, both deeply intentional.
Hot months · April – October Indoors
Session A — STEM+ lab Design challenges, real materials, electronics, building, and the productive joy of things that don't work the first time. Growing innovators from age four to fourteen.
Session B — Handwork & practical arts Woodworking, sewing, weaving, cooking. Skills that build spatial reasoning, patience, and genuine pride in making something with your own hands.
Cool months · November – March Outdoors
Younger children — Forest school Free exploration, fire, mud, den building, and the confidence that comes from genuine time in nature. Child-led, unhurried, and deeply intentional.
Older children & teens — Outdoor skills Survival skills, shelter building, woodcraft, growing a garden. Learning to be genuinely capable in the world beyond screens.
The block cycle — five weeks to go deep, one week to go somewhere.
One of the greatest gifts of homeschooling is time — time to actually live, to experience the world, not just read about it. Every sixth week we take that gift seriously. The whole Grove community goes somewhere and does something together — something genuinely physical, genuinely challenging, or genuinely memorable. Not a worksheet about kayaking. Actual kayaking. Not a lesson about resilience. An afternoon on a ropes course finding out they have more in it than they thought.

Provisional Session 1 Programme
The following classes are planned for Session 1 and will be confirmed once enrollment has closed. Final offerings may vary slightly based on enrollment numbers, student interest, and instructor availability to ensure the best possible experience for every class.
Ages 3–6
A gentle, play-based enrichment experience.

Islamic Integration through games, and stories.
Ages 6–9
Handwork & Islamic Heritage
Children will explore traditional handcrafts while learning patience, creativity and practical skills. Throughout the session, connections will be made to Islamic history, craftsmanship and values in an age-appropriate way.
Ages 10–12
Sewing & Design
Students will learn foundational sewing skills while designing and creating practical projects. Creativity, problem-solving and confidence are encouraged through hands-on making.
Growth Mindset
Students will explore how the brain learns, develop resilience when facing challenges, build confidence through mistakes, and cultivate habits that encourage perseverance, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Sewing & Design
Students will build on their sewing skills through increasingly independent projects while exploring design, creativity, and practical making.

Game Design Studio
Perfect for students interested in games, design, or storytelling. Before many digital games are programmed, their ideas are first explored through prototypes and playtesting. In this hands-on course, students will design and build their own tabletop games while learning the creative design principles that also underpin modern video game development.
Health, Anatomy & Puberty
Respectful, age-appropriate discussions exploring the changing body, health, hygiene and personal responsibility from an Islamic perspective.
